From "It's All Relative"
"When Azariah died in 1866 he left his farm to his wife for her lifetime and then to their children. On 2 Jan 1898 Nancy A. Sharp and John H. Dunn brought suit against their surviving siblings, James F Dunn, Robertson Co, Tennessee; Martha Robinson of Paducah, Kentucky; Maranda Corbin and husband Wade of Robertson Co; Simm York, husband of late Lucy Dunn and Lucy's children: Mrs Fannie Jenkins (widow), Mollie Boraham and husband William; Lewis York; Annie York; and Lelia Fly and husband James S.
"Also included in the lawsuit was William Dunn who was thought to have purchased James' interest. There was apparently dissatisfaction among the children concerning the money used to purchase a house in Nashville by Mary Dunn. The suit states that Mary Dunn kept farming after the death of Azariah and accumulated some $1200 with which she purchased the house. She kept the house several years and when she sold it she used the money for her support, invested some of it. Before her death she apparently had given Nancy some $500 cash. Nancy and John H. argued that the money was Mary's and she had the right to dispose of it as she saw fit and that the farm should be sold and the money be divided between all, less the amounts they had received before their father's death. The farm was sold at public auction on 28 April 1898 for $500, on notes of one and two years. The court had not gotten it's money in early 1900. It would appear that none of the children received much from the settlement." | CRAWFORD, Mary (I11192)

From Grace:
She died of convulsions. Secondary: Infriafes Dietary in Itercolitis (doctor's handwriting is very hard to read; not exactly sure what this is, the flu?). The death certificate asks what test confirmed diagnosis - the certificate states "clinical evidence." She was buried June 18, 1920 at Calvary Cemetery. Michael Heffernan was the informant on the certificate. They lived at 1609 34th Street in Galveston at the time of her death. The Undertaker was F. P. Malloy & Son. On the certificate, it states that Fannie Allen was born in Ireland, although on the 1920 Census, it states she was born in Tennessee and her parents were born in Ireland.

From Ima Mewborn:
..."Parrott was sent to Lemuel Hardy Jr. (1730-1797) and Mary Sutton family to be trained and educated with their children.
Lemuel Hardy Jr. was a first cousin of Mary Parrott Mewborn. Parrott Mewborn was with this family during the Revolutionary War. The young sons of Lemuel Hardy Jr., John and Sutton, and Parrott Mewborn were responsible for the home and farm during his absence of three years during this period, a great burden for these boys during this trying time. This old plantation was on Bear Creek near the present village of Jason, Greene County. This old home is described as a large house, first story brick and the second story clapboard."...
