4053 I don't know what happened to this baby. SHIFLET, Doloris Ann (I18093)

4054 I don't know what happened to this William after the 1880 Census. Don't confuse him with William Harlan, son of George, who married Mary Carter. I cited a Pedigree Resource File for his death date but I don't know where it came from. HARLAN, William H (I21433)

4055 I don't know where he might have gone after the 1850 census. ACHORD, Cornelius III (I10801)

4057 I don't know where I got the information for Robert. I can find nothing in records for him. I'm leaving him here for the time being but I may remove him as a child of Robert and Elizabeth. MCKINNIS, Robert (I8846)

4063 I don't know who this is, I'm adding him here tentatively. MCGHEE, Albert (I23577)

4064 I don't know why her name changed from Neana to Neeley after her marriage. The census records name her Neana or Neanah with her parents but her descendants never knew her as anything but Neeley so I have named her Neeley Neana.

In a letter from Mrs. Ira Clifton (a cousin) to Neeley dated 1/12/45
Garrison, Texas - Mt. Enterprise
JE is at Bruning, Nebraska. Ethel is here and the baby is fat as a "guinie" pig. They are going to Houston. [Ira Clifton 458-88-5080 75961(Nacogdoches, Nacogdoches, TX)?]

In a letter from Georgie Fields to Neeley dated 9/26/46
Humble, Texas to Mt. Enterprise
(Ruben has hurt his arm.) How is Ruben's arm? She also mentions uncle Charlie Bird. (Everyone's uncle.)

An empty envelope from someone to Neeley dated 3/13/54
Annapolis, Maryland to Houston (Perkin)

Another letter from Georgie dated 2/8/68
Conroe to Minden
I'm sorry you had the flu. I had inner ear trouble. Leon (my oldest) moved to Liberty. I miss Reed Mountain and I want to see my folks at Nacogdoches.

A letter from Doule and Virgie Crow (Albert Jr's ex) to Neeley dated 2/28/68
Tell Perkin to come see me when he comes to see Honey and Esther. Husband almost died. Gall bladder burst 12/20/67 and scar tissue wrapped around intestines and blocked it in January. Was in the hospital seven weeks. Bobby (my son) lives in Channelview. Albert is in Pennsylvania, Honey is in Houston. Sonny (the baby) is in Japan in the Air Force. He married a Korean girl and has a baby girl one year old. I am 65 now, drawing old age pension - tell Robert it doesn't go far. (he and I used to talk about what we would do with our pensions.)

A letter from Nervy (Dora Minerva Armstrong?) to Neeley - no date
I wish I could plant a garden. Landlord made us get rid of the chickens. Going to write a letter to Dottis (Ruben's sis-in-law). Minnie (Ruben's sister) lives in Dallas, she is having her teeth pulled. Tom (don't know which one) lives in Boise, Idaho.
MILLS, Neeley Neana (I25)

4065 I don't know why she is listed as Rach A on the 1880 census; she's Ruth, Ruthy or Ruthie everywhere else. Until someone shows me some proof that her name is Rachel, I'll stick to Ruth. JOINES, Ruth (I3217)

4066 I don't think any of these people knew when or where they were born. I chose this Anna because her middle initial is F and Amanda Mills lives with her. I don't necessarily believe she is the correct Ann. She may belong to the Shelby County bunch. MILLS, Anna F (I669)

4067 I don't think anyone really knows when or where Abraham was born. I chose 1824 because I have 2 sources with an age to make it so. COON, Abraham (I9089)

4068 I don't think George was married before his death. PUCKETT, George H (I6004)

4069 I don't think he married. CROW, Norman Roger (I19038)

4070 I don't think he married. HAUDE, Henry Edwin (I24628)

4071 I don't think he married. THEISS, Arnold Robert (I24654)

4072 I don't think the W M Pepper (M W Conway) in the jail in 1930 is our boy but it could be. Neiither am I sure that he is the William who married Alton. PEPPER, William Milton (I22862)

4073 I don't understand the conflicting death information I have on this person. ARMSTRONG, Edward (I546)

4074 I exchanged much email correspondence with this daughter of Ava Marie Hoots. Source (S601)

4075 I finally found information on Pearl and her obit mentions Mae PHIPPS. I don't think they had any children but there is an infant at Bedias Baptist born/died in 1942. WILLIAMS, Oleta Pearl (I18039)

4076 I find no marriage or death record for Jane/Virginia. CARTER, Jane P (I21319)

4077 I find no more records that I can positively associate with our Bessie. She married three times and had only one child that I can source. I find no other records on James, Richard, George or Clyde and only assume that Richard died before the 1910 census eas enumerated because she says she was widowed. COON, Bessie L (I14616)

4078 I find no other census records for this family. ADKINS, Solomon (I3554)

4079 I find nothing on Marshall, Ollie or Mary after the explosion in Texas City. Did she marry a Wilson? THOMPSON, Ollie Elizabeth (I6506)

4080 I find nothing on William after the 1880 census. TYLER, William H (I17359)

4081 I find only one marriage for a John Whistler Skippon, 1839, Downham District, Norfolk County, to Harriett Gribs. (Maybe a second wife?) SKIPPON (I23253)

4082 I first found these records at USGenWeb, now I use the same index at Family Search. Source (S1253)

4083 I found a birth certificate for her but there is no name on it, just her parents and birth date. DAUGHERTY, Ina Grace (I17778)

4084 I found a Calvin T Pierce in Chickasaw and Clay counties, Mississippi, in 1870 and 1880 but the father is not there. There are four children with the mother named Martha. I'm fairly certain that Joseph Whitman Pierce of Estelline is Calvin's brother, C T signed Joseph's death certificate. Joseph's certificate gives his father's name as Brit??? Pierce, born NC. I cannot read the mothers name - Sev or Sen something. Calvin in Mississippi has a newphew named Virgil Britton Pierce. PEARCE, Calvin Thomas (I10286)

4085 I found a marriage in Missouri to her. FRAZIER, Sarah D (I17298)

4086 I found a marriage record in Nac for Amanda Mills to H Marsill Horney, 28 Aug 1891, but no more records for Marsill and Amanda (nor Mashall or Marcel). Ira/Arrie's death certificate lists his name as Morris.

In 1900, Mandy and Dixie Mills are living with Anna and James Pierce, her sister. There is also a John Mills who may be John Hiram, Alvy's son. According to the 1900 census, she was married 8 years (1892), then in 1930, she was widowed.

I found a marriage record in Nac for Amanda Mills to R C Clifton, 5 Aug 1903, but I find no other entries for R C and Amanda.

There is a Mandy Honey (age 60) on the 1910 Census in Laneville with a 17 year old daughter named Dixie Honey.

In 1920, Mandy Mills is living with Arrie and JG Clifton and their two children, listed as mother-in-law. Dixie isn't with them. In 1930, Arie and Jack Clifton are still in Nac with six children.

The obit has her listed incorrectly as Ira's mom. I found no Ira Mills with Amanda as his mother so I am assuming this is my Ira and his sister OR this is Arrie "Ira" Clifton.

If Mandy is buried at Crim's Chapel, it is either an unmarked grave or she has a different last name. Her county death record is under Amanda Mills and reported by Ruben Armstrong, Ira's son-in-law, my grandpa. Our Mandy was living with Ira on 11 Apr 1930 for the census. Her death certificate was signed by IRA Mills of Henderson and lists her parents as J M Mills and Martha Aldridge and says she was divorced.

Did she marry a Mills? There is a Mills family in Panola county at the same time and using the same given names but not connected [yet] to our guys.

Taking all these bits and pieces, I believe our Mandy married Marsill/Morris Horney/Harney/Haney/Honey/Honea in 1891 and probably divorced [or separated from] him around 1900. She has at least one daughter, Ira/Arrie, possibly two - Dixie. Arrie married the Clifton. My dad told me we are related to some Cliftons through his mom and this could be that link. Are Arrie and Dixie the same person? If they aren't, where was Arrie for the 1900 Census?
MILLS, Amanda (I670)

4087 I found a photo that says "My dearest father, Joseph Richardson." I have no proof that this James C is the father of our Joseph.

There is a death record for a Joseph M Richardson who died 5 Aug 1875 in Mobile and buried in Magnolia Cemetery.
RICHARDSON, Joseph M (I7596)

4088 I found a US Army Camp Reed mentioned in a letter but I'm not sure of its exact location nor of the cemetery. It seems that the camp was usually called Jackson and the camp was moved to LaGrange in March of 1863. Supposedly the graves were moved to Corinth National in 1869.
The VA has a listed burial for George W Toply but there is no cemetery listed, just TOPLY, GEORGE W PVT BURIED AT: SECTION D SITE 1229. I guess there is no way to find out if this is our George. There is also a George A Topliff at Leavenworth but there are no dates and he was in the 18th Inf.
TOPLIFF, George W (I11360)

4089 I found an entry at FindaGrave linking her to William Lindsey Crews (1867-1914) but I believe she was actually married to William Isham Crews (1883-1971). HARLAN, Nancy Elizabeth (I21444)

4090 I found four sources for Ambrose's wife's name. Margaret, Annie, Mary and Elizabeth. Calvin's marriage record says Margaret and death certificate says Elizabeth. Frank's death certificate gives Fannie Lyons. LYONS, Margaret (I14962)

4091 I found no documentation for his death. WYATT, William Henry (I7705)

4092 I found no records for Alfred after his 1930 appearance with his sister in Wisconsin. It's possible that he is the "Brother" J A Mye at Holy Cross Cemetery. MYE, Alfred J (I18887)

4093 I found no stone for him at Spring Hill nor any of his family. LEE, Robert Edward (I10088)

4094 I found nothing on George after the 1870 census. LUCE, George (I23711)

4095 I found nothing on Lockett and Willie after their marriage. GIBSON, Lockett (I15634)

4096 I found nothing on their children after the 1910 census. Were they adopted? There are three birth records, I didn't find one for Florence. MCGHEE, Anna M (I23579)

4097 I found nothing that gives her surname. One researcher says Brice, one says Jones. BRICE, Mary (I22000)

4098 I found one transcribed record for a marriage for John Jones and Nancy Watkins in Morgan County, Georgia, 14 May 1812. WALKER, Nancy (I5613)

4099 I found records in South Dakota and Oklahoma for a Nelson W at the right age with wives named Mary and Nettie. Nettie ended up in Arkansas in 1940 but is buried in Grant County, Oklahoma, with Nelson. I'm not positive that is our Nelson. MCGHEE, Nelson W (I11358)

4100 I found them on the 1940 census and their death records then they disappeared. Possibly cremated? LEGG, Ethel Cordia (I19043)
