  Harold R. Gardner, 78, Festus, died Nov. 30, 2006, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Poplar Bluff, the son of Harvey and Stella (Johnston) Gardner. He was an electrician for the Chrysler Corp. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Radiant Life Pentecostal Church in Festus. He is survived by his wife, Louise (Brauer) Gardner; two daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Holdinghaus of De Soto and Cindy (John) Richardson of Festus; two sons, Doug Gardner and Tim Grass, both of Festus; his sister, Norma Jean (Jim) Cochran of Poplar Bluff; two sisters-in-law, Helena "Tootsie" Gardner of Poplar Bluff and Louise Gardner of Oklahoma; his brother-in-law, George Armstrong of Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Drew Alan Gardner and Danny Grass; his sister, Vaulta Armstrong; two brothers, Francis and Melvin Gardner. Funeral was Dec. 2 at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, with the Rev. Randy Gray officiating. Interment is in Danby Cemetery, Festus. Memorials may be made to the Radiant Life Pentecostal Church building fund or Jefferson Memorial Hospital Foundation.
