    • 1900 Census says she had 8 children with 3 living [Ellen, Walter and Luther].

      Thomas' birth certificate says he is her 11th child with four living. I have to assume that this means there are four others besides him living [Ellen, Walter, Luther and Sanford]. Luther was hit by a car and killed the next year.

      She was probably born in 1866-7. This is the year given by her parents and by her when she is left to her own devices.
