  (Research):John is listed with Nora (widowed) on the 1900 Census but it says Nora has had no children. I'm thinking that John H Rodgers, son of J N Rodgers, is Herman Pearce/John Herman Rodgers. I still don't know where Alma fits in - possibly Calvin's daughter from a previous marriage.
