JEFFERSON Funeral services for Paul Franklin Tyler, 89, of Jefferson will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Haggard Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Markle officiating. Burial will be in Pyland Cemetery under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
Mr. Tyler died Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Jefferson. He was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Shreveport, La., to Franklin Thomas and Carrie Avrilla Tyler. Mr. Tyler served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and retired from Lone Star Steel after 37 years.
Survivors include his children, Ronnie Tyler of Austin, Jerry Mullins of Daingerfield, Chris Tyler of Jefferson, and Kraig Tyler of Hallsville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
