- Millican, Frances Hilliard.
A memorial service honoring Frances H. Millican, who passed away on Dec. 28, 2009, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union on the campus of the University of Central Florida. As the wife of the first president of what was then Florida Technological University, UCF's first First Lady helped to build the institution from its beginnings and remained involved with the University until her death.
In addition to her loving husband of 64 years, Dr. Charles N. Millican; she is survived by nephews and nieces []; her extended family, []; and their children, []; and dear friend, [].
The family has suggested that those who wish might either send flowers via Woodlawn Funeral Home, or make contributions to the UCF Women's Club Frances H. Millican Undergraduate Endowed Scholarship, c/o The UCF Foundation, 12424 Research Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826-3208.
A private burial service has been planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Woodlawn Funeral Home 407-293-1361.
