  Mrs. Clara Colby of Corfu, Genesee Co, NY - 1926 Corfu, Jan. 19 (1942).--Mrs. Clara Senn Colby, widow of Garrett COLBY, died yesterday afternoon at 3:40 o'clock at her home on North Alleghany street, following a long illness. She was confined to her bed for only a few days. Mrs. Colby, born at Pembroke on October 16, 1864, was a daughter of the late Frederick and Clara LITT SENN. On July 24, 1884, she was married to Mr. Colby, who resided on the Snippery road east of Corfu, where they made their home for about two years and then moved to the house in this village where Mrs. Colby died. Mr. Colby died on January 1, 1914. Mrs. Colby was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Corfu Rebekah Lodge, No. 222. Surviving are two sons, Garrett R. Colby of Geneva, O., and Robert W. Colby who resided with his mother; a daughter, Mrs. Adelbert E. BEIDECK of Corfu; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandson. She was the mother of the late Mrs. Clara BEIDECK. A sister, Mrs. Julia TUBBS of Buffalo, also survives. Private funeral services for Mrs. Colby will be held from the Colby home on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. William T. Eaton officiating. Friends may call at the home until Wednesday noon. Interment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery.
