Final rites were held Wednesday for Thomas V. Armstrong, 83, of Payette, who died at his home early Sunday.
Mr. Armstrong was born Jan. 8, 1878 in Barry County, Mo., and was married to Gertie Estella Bonham Dec. 14, 1904, in Independence, Kan. They moved to Payette from Nebraska in 1929. He was a member of the Baptist church and a veteran of the Spanish American War. Mrs. Armstrong died in 1960.
Survivors include four sons, Charlie of Boise, Clarence of Longview, Wash, Aaron of Parker, Wash., and Earnest Armstrong of Kennewick, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Rosa Davidson of Bartlesville, Okla., Mrs. Retha Baer and Mrs. Mildred Gillman, both of Longview; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and two sisters.
Services were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Shaffer chapel in Payette with the Rev. William Clark officiating. Interment was at Morris Hill in Boise at 11:30 a.m. with military rites.
