  Carmela "Connie" Delores Armstrong, 71, of Rusk passed away at her home on July 12, 2022. Connie was born on May 2, 1951 in New York, New York to Harold and Carmela Armstrong. Connie spent many years working as a seamstress and raising her two children. She was a great fisherwoman, gardener and lover of animals. She was preceded in death by her parents; Harold and Carmela, brothers; Butch and Robert Armstrong. Connie is survived by her children; son, Donald Thurman and his wife Tammy, and daughter Theresa Hoffman and her companion Steven Morris, grandchildren; David, Justin, Richard, Zachary, Andrea, and Matthew Thurman, and 9 great-grandchildren. Connie asked that there would be no public services.
