  Pioneer Citizen of Fairplay Dies At the age of 73 years at his home in Fairplay, Mr Lafayette Dobbins passed away. He was born and reared in this county, his mother was a neice of the honored pioneer Lemuel Herrin, who had so much to do with the settling of Western Panola county - really a veteran leader of his day. Mr Dobbins' remains were laid to rest in the Waldrop Cemetery, Rev L A Willingham conductiong the fineral services. He is survived by his companion of 49 years and a son Will Dobbins of Troupe, and three daughters, Mrs Dave Weaver of Henderson, Mrs Richmond Shaw and Mrs Sparks of Fairplay. To these bereaved relatives we extend our sincere sympathy.
