Davis, and Emily Cole. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Kentucky and her three special nieces Kimberly Wilson, Tiffany Quinn, and Lacy Willey and their families as well as a host of friends. DEMACK, MILDRED ROURKE DUSEK - Mildred Rourke Dusek Demack went home to be with the Lord at age 86, on Thursday, August 28, 2003, after a long illness. She was a BOI, born on January 25, 1917, to Mary and Walter Rourke, Sr. She attended Catholic school in Galveston and after graduation, began her adult life as an employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1936. As the war took precedence over civilian life, the military was facing a critical need with communications. Rob was was born on February 17, 1949, in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents Patricia and Cecil Dickerson. Rob played basketball at Ball High School in Galveston and after graduation he joined the Army. He served in the 101st Airborne as a paratrooper during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1973, earning the Army Accommodation Medal with Bronze Star. Rob worked throughout Texas for 25 years as a concrete construction supervisor. He married Annelle Tindall on September 18, 1982, in Alta Loma, Texas. They have a daughter, Laura and a son, Rob, Jr. His hobby was just being at home - to clear his land and build camp fires.Rob was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Dickerson. Survived by his wife, Annelle Dickerson of Smithville; daughter, Laura; son, Rob, Jr.; mother, Patricia Dickerson of Galveston; sister, Cissie Hestdalen of Abercrombie, North Dakota; brothers, Ray Dickerson of Ft. DWYER, DOROTHY 'POLLY' - Dorothy "Polly" Dwyer, of Texas City passed away Thursday, September 25, 2003 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Polly was born January 3, 1924 in Beaumont, Texas to Joseph and Clara Liberto.
